One of my favorite Mac apps for the year is Cookie. It gives you granular control over your Mac browser’s cookies, caches, and history files. As good as Cookie is, it comes with a price. Farther down on the price tag food chain is Browser Care, a Mac app which also manages your browser trackage.
Browser Care gives you per-browser options to Delete History, Delete Cache, Remove All Website Data, Empty The Download List, Delete Las Session, and much more. All with a click of the Care button.
The presets make it easy to get started using Browser Care on Safari, Firefox, Chrome, or Opera. Select Basic for simple removal chores, or Complete for everything, or Custom and create your own settings.
And, speaking of presets, Browser Care also checks your Mac automatically for browsers. It even displays an alert in the Menubar when a browser needs to be cared for.
There’s an option to sync data with iCloud, though I can’t think of why that would be useful. What I want an app like Browser Care to do is make it easy to delete browsing history, cookies, and caches with as little user intervention as possible.
