We live in a video age yet what do we see on our Mac’s Desktop? Boring images, bland photos, and nothing to write home about. With a little eye candy app, your Mac’s Desktop can come alive with the video of your choice.
MovieDesktop is a 99-cent Mac app that creates a dynamic Desktop background. It’s a movie on the Desktop.
Controls are drop dead simple. MovieDesktop resides in your Mac’s Menubar. Click it to open a movie or select a folder full of movies.
The easiest way to get started is to grab a few video clips from your iMovie collection or movies from iPhoto.
Copy the movies into a folder and save it somewhere in your Documents folder. Then, open MovieDesktop and select the movie folder.
Finally, select Movie in the menu, and select Loop, Next, or Mute (to avoid playing the movie’s sound).
That’s it. Simple, sweet, elegant, straightforward and absolutely worth the price of admission for a little background eye candy distraction.
