“Certified Mac Software” means I like it. Uh huh.

Yes, Virgina, there are other browsers besides IE, Firefox, and Safari. Here’s the latest not-very-popular but competent and attractive browser from Alexander Clauss. I like the error protocol which identifies sites with crummy HTML. Free and Pro version:
Certainly, iCab has much more features than you can examine in one day. Try it once, and you will see it has addressed all your needs, and iCab can grow with you, to fully meet your personal tastes and preferences -with much wider choices and options than any other browser!
9WR - iCab: Unique web browser, quirky features, granular controls, crazy tabs.
I don’t do this often but this is Certifiably Not Good Software™ for Mac users who don’t know better or who have issues. From the NoodleMac What Have You Done For Me Lately™ department comes AOL with an updated version of AIM (AOL Instant Messenger). I just don’t know why. Well into the 21st century AOL gets all retro, Microsoft style, and piles on more features on a product that still does less. Honestly, I thought AOL went out of business.
AIM for Mac supports AIM Expressions, AIM File Transfer and supports friendly names - no more hard-to-remember screen names. Connect with friends and family and keep track of status and presence updates in real time.
9WR - AIM for Mac: AOL’s Instant Messenger; chat, customize, send files, so 1999.
Stunning views of the earth, our solar system, and thousands of stars. Explore the universe in three dimensions. Visually brilliant. Runs on Mac, Windows, Linux (Alexis’ review on Mac360).
Celestia is a free real-time space simulation that lets you experience our universe in three dimensions. Unlike most planetarium software, Celestia doesn’t confine you to the surface of the Earth. You can travel throughout the solar system, to any of over 100,000 stars, or even beyond the galaxy.
9WR - Celestia: Amazing three dimensional views of earth, solar system, galaxy.

If you’re concerned about Mac security, Little Snitch does what your Mac’s firewall cannot. It protects and alerts you whenever a Mac application tries to communicate from your Mac to wherever. You would be surprised to know how many Mac apps and utilities phone home. A Mac’s firewall protects against unwanted intrusions. Little Snitch protects against unwanted, outbound connections from your Mac.
Little Snitch informs you whenever a program attempts to establish an outgoing Internet connection. You can then choose to allow or deny this connection, or define a rule how to handle similar, future connection attempts. This reliably prevents private data from being sent out without your knowledge.
9WR - Little Snitch: Outbound firewall alerts Mac user to outgoing communication requests.
