“Certified Mac Software” means I like it. Uh huh.
Another open source BitTorrent utility for peer-to-peer file transfers, a common euphemism for stealing files over the internet.
Transmission has been built from the ground up to be a lightweight, yet powerful BitTorrent client. Its simple, intuitive interface is designed to integrate tightly with whatever computing environment you choose to use. Transmission strikes a balance between providing useful functionality without feature bloat. Furthermore, it is free for anyone to use or modify.
9WR - Transmission: BitTorrent utility, queue, throttle torrents, Growl support, Dock badge.
DockStar is a utility for the Mail icon in your Mac’s Dock. It tracks email in various accounts and displays a number in the icon (also does RSS, Notes, and To Do items, with badges in the Dashboard and Menubar). Nicely done.
DockStar is the smart way to keep an eye on your Mail. Add new badges to the Mail dock icon and clickable indicators to the menu bar. DockStar lets you keep track of email in various accounts and folders, RSS feeds, Notes, and To Do items with customizable badges in the Mail icon, menu bar, Dashboard, and even in a Screen Saver.

This update of the formerly free Taco HTML Edit adds plenty of new features, including live preview, code completion, code coloring for CSS and Javascript, plus tabs, and FTP editing. Is bait and switch alive and well for Mac users? The new version $24.95 vs. the previous version, $0.00. Decent editor, poor implementation of CSS, arguably more important these days than HTML.
While you are editing an HTML, CSS, or PHP document Taco HTML Edit can now suggest completions for the text you are typing… now supports coloring for CSS and JavaScript documents. Coloring is completely configurable… now supports a tabbed user interface for both projects and standalone documents… can now be used an an external editor for FTP clients… Live Preview is now embedded into the document window.
9WR - Taco HTML Edit: HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript editor; tabs, live preview, auto-completion.

Yet another Menubar application and file launcher. Set up categories, icon size, add files. Barely not bad. Developer’s complete description of aLunch:
You can chose to display icons at 32 pixels or 16 pixels. Files and folders can be registered with aLunch as well. Folders will be opened in the Finder. Different categories can be registered by using groups and separators.
9WR - aLunch: Now how many items are in your Mac’s Menubar?
Great value for web site or CD photo album creation. Clumsy Java interface, but point and click simplicity, loaded with options. Many different and sometimes attractive ‘skins’ available. None better at this price. Free.
Make website albums of your digital photographs. With JAlbum, no extra software is needed to view the albums, just your web browser. Unlike “server side” album scripts, JAlbum albums can be served from a plain web server without scripting support. You can also share your albums on CD-ROM.
9WR - JAlbum: Create website, CD photo albums, multiple skins, point, click.
Lean, clean, snippet machine to store information on your Mac. Elegant layout, simple to master. Grab and save notes, serial numbers, photos, anything in a structured free form database (contradictory, but it works).
Caboodle provides a single place to store, organize, and find those little pieces of information that you might have previously stored in Stickies or obscurely-named text files strewn over your desktop.
9WR - Caboodle: Stores information in unique database, both structured, free form.
