“NoodleMac is home of the 9 Word Reviews for Mac software. Not too much, not too little.”
Another update to the nifty application which creates your family’s tree on a Mac. Reports, graphs, graphics, photos, and GEDCOM compatible. Here’s a more detailed review. These folks think highly of their own software, so check your credit card balance:
A stunning, configurable user interface, animated charts, editable reports and powerful print and export options. Visualize migration of your ancestors over centuries and continents.
9WR - MacFamilyTree: Decent genealogy application manages family tree with photos, reports.
Yet another way to find lyrics for your music. This one stores the lyrics so they can be synced with your iPod. Brush up on your Japanese first.
Sing that iTune! widget displays the lyric for iTunes current track along with its artwork. The lyrics are saved in ‘Documents/Sing that iTune!’ folder and you can also add your self-made lyrics in there. Sync the folder with iPod’s Notes folder to bring it.
9WR - Sing That iTunes!: Widget gets lyrics for iTunes song, saves, syncs iPod.
Handy password and serial number storage and management. Files can be stored on a network server for businesses. Good feature set. I prefer Steel.
Store all of your Passwords, Program Serial numbers and Credit Card information in one secure location… an industrial strength 256 bit encrypted database.
9WR - Vault: Stores, manages, secures passwords, serial numbers, credit card information.
Soothing background of melodic tones; digital wind chimes; iTunes-like interface for mood chimes with bells, crystals, violins, and nature sounds. Quirky and cool at the same time.
SonicMood creates a soothing background of melodic tones… polyphonic sounds with stimulating harmonies… to have a relaxing effect.
9WR - SonicMood: Beautiful wind chimes, mood chimes, nature sounds, sensual harmonies.
Editor for RapidWeaver users. Edits RapidWeaver themes. Yes, you’ll need RapidWeaver. Otherwise, what’s the point? Good way to customize any RW theme.
RWThemeMiner is a RapidWeaver theme editing assistant. It enables you to edit or replace any element in any RapidWeaver theme. It provides a user-friendly interface between the contents of your RW themes and your image and text editing applications.
9WR - RWThemeMiner: Edits, customizes, manages, custom web site themes for RapidWeaver.
You know you need these. It’s what collectors do. Collect the whole set of free video effects for iChat and Photo Booth (Leopard only). Instead of communicating with a clear video image, really screw it up for those on the other side of the camera.
Is your iChat partner getting on your nerves? Talking too much? OMG! Change yourself into a Pong video game and drop the hint that a real conversation, like Pong, is best enjoyed with equal airtime. So much fun it comes with a warning on the label: “May cause compulsion to grow seventies sideburns.”
9WR - CatEye: 24 iChat, Photo Booth video effects—70s deva vu.
Significant update to the very clever utility which builds SFTP/FTP/SSH into your Mac’s Finder. Your remote computer shows up as a mounted hard drive on your desktop. Unique, easy to use, a little slow, but well done. New version is notably faster and connects to Amazon S3.
ExpanDrive gives you perfectly transparent access to open, edit, and save files with your favorite programs, even when those files are half a world away. Transparent means that you don’t even notice you’re operating on remote files—they act like they’re on an USB drive you plugged directly into your own computer.
9WR - ExpanDrive: SFTP utility, connects to remote computers via the Finder.
