WeatherPop (http://www.weatherpop.com/) was at one time the best weather utility out there, residing in the menubar with a drop down that had extended weather, weather radar, etc. For most it rarely works under 10.5 and the developers seem to have decided to say, “screw you” to the people like me that paid for it. Ohh…. on their website they claim to have gotten it to work, but I personally know of no users (and I know many) who can get it to even start. From their site, 12/13/07:
“So clearly some people are having issues with WeatherPop on Leopard; however, Ben & I are not — another reason we hadn’t been urgently working on a Leopard release. If you need yet one more, I’m now in grad school and Ben’s working for a startup, so we’re already working too much. BUT, my semester is almost done, and Ben informs me that my winter break will include some WeatherPop work (gotta earn my keep and all)...”
As far as I can see, there has been NO work done.

Yes, Wx is the best, most detailed weather utility for my Mac. I use a couple of Widgets but when I want detail, Widgets don’t cut it. Wx is a very polished tool.

I really like Yahoo Widgets cuz they always sit on your desktop, without clicking anything. Best weather widget is their own = yahoo weather. gives you weather in any location around the world with current conditions and 5 day forecast.
