My Mac is anything but loaded with games, but I have a few. One of them takes me back to childhood. It’s a train game. Yes, there were trains when I was a kid. I loved Lionel trains and tracks that wandered around the house.
Relive Those Childhood Trains
Rail Maze is a Mac game about trains and tunnels and bombs and more trains. You get to build and manage railroads and get chased by pirates who have their own trains.
What’s not to like for free?
Rail Maze comes with 100 puzzles to navigate, along with aforementioned pirates and bombs, there’s also very long trains and railroads (which you can build, if the pirates don’t get you first).
The game comes with four modes. The Labyrinth is puzzle based. Build Railroad is obvious and heavy with action. So is the Snake mode. Puzzle and action are combined in the Longest Railroad mode.
I don’t know what it is about trains and kids and adults who used to be kids and had model trains. Rail Maze isn’t model railroading on the Mac, but it’s fun.
